I am opening my own shop called History Ink Tattoo, it will be open in January 2025. We have spent a lot of time making sure the shop is just right! The shop is a clean, eclectic and relaxed Studio in the heart of Edmonton. Is located on busy 124th street on the corner of Stony Plain Road. This site will be updated further very soon! And the launch of History Inc Tattoo's website, www.Historyinktattoo.com will be going live very soon.
Please contact me if you are interested in getting a tattoo at the new studio in the new year! Follow our Instagram for the most recent updates.
Below is a blurb from another website I am featured on, it also updates a very popular book on Nordic and Celtic tattooing i'm going to be featured in in the new year!
"History ink tattoo is the brainchild of Marcy Nielsen, one of only five Canadian artists to be featured in Nordic Black`s, the Nordic Tattoo Vol 3. This is a guide to the best Nordic and Celtic tattoo artist in the world. Marcy is also been featured in Nordic ebooks and contributed to the tattoo scene in Edmonton for the last 20 years as an artist and shop owner. Marcy also is well known for her Polynesian works. All Polynesian styles including fusion Marcy works in. The motto at history ink tattoo is purveyors of the ancient arts, we respect the history and treat it with the reverence and respect it deserves. Contact us for a world-class tattoo."
I am an Alberta born Artist and have been Tattooing full time for 18+ years. I came to Edmonton in 1998 to complete my degree in Fine Art at the U. of A. I studied illustrative and sculptural mediums.
Before tattooing, I fronted a metal/punk band; releasing albums and touring. I also was involved in the local fashion scene; designing and sewing clothing for several lines. I have since devoted myself entirely to tattooing and painting. I am fully committed to helping my clients express their inner most visions.
My tattoo influences tend to lean towards traditional and ancient design styles, such as Polynesian, Nordic and Celtic. I am intrigued by all natural subject matter; animals, insects and plant life. I am also fascinated with geometry and how it is an integral component in adorning the human body. Contact me at marcy@marcystattoos.com
